Acts 2:38, “Then Peter Said to them, Repent, (turn directions) and let everyone of you be Immersed upon the name of Jesus, Into the remission of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.”
That is what the Greek language says, So what is God through the mouth of Peter teaching us as well as the audience who this was originally spoken to? Look at it, Stop sinning, Die to yourself, the world and sin, be buried with Christ, into his death, and your death and raise to walk in newness of life, and then and only then will you receive the indwelling of the Holy Spirit.
Wow how simple can it be?
