A dad and son are placed together by God on loan.
A dad provides for his son’s needs with a loving home.
He teaches guidance, discipline, responsibility and fear of the Lord.
A dad shares his traditions, values, victories, failures and more.
And when his son’s own falls seem more than he can bear,
A dad’s strong and supportive arm is always there.
So what can you say to a son whose dad has gone home?
I can only remind them of another dad and Son who were placed together on loan.
A dad who was a humble carpenter by trade,
And his Son in which all man kind’s debts were paid.
Remember the dad, who provided for the Son of the One True God,
A Heavenly Father who made the streets of gold your dad will now trod.
A pastor, a father and a son.
